Frally Hynes is the third and current wife of American singer-songwriter Ben Folds. She was raised in rural South Australia and met Folds through a mutual friend. Married in 1999, the couple have two children, Louis Frances and Gracie Scott. They split their time between Nashville, Tennessee and Adelaide, Australia. Hynes is a successful photographer. She has also recorded several of Folds's music videos, including "Still Fighting It" which also starred the couple's son Louis, and also directed the video for "Landed." Hynes sang back up vocals on the song "Gone" from Ben Folds's album Rockin' the Suburbs, contributed to "Root to This" on Fear of Pop's Volume 1, and can be heard on the end of the track "Dog" on 2003's Speed Graphic.She is featured on the cover to Ben Folds' EP Super D, released in 2004.
On holiday in Australia in 1998, Folds met Frally Hynes, a yoga teacher raised in rural South Australia, at lunch with a mutual friend in Adelaide. "I knew we were going to be together from that first day," says Folds, "but i had to talk her into it."
Despite having, she says, "no idea" who he was, Hynes was charmed enough to follow Folds back to the US where, while he was recording what would be the Five's last album, 'The Unauthorised Biography of Reinhold Messner', she made a few short films, taught yoga to Beck and spent time on an ashram in Canada. She says she was "on the verge" of taking her vows of celibacy, but changed her mind when Folds came knocking. "He said, ' I think you've been here long enough.' He was a little bit worried!" laughs Hynes, who plays piano, writes poetry and is studying film at Flinders University. They wed in Adelaide in May last year. "I have always hated weddings," says Hynes, "so we just wrote our own vows and had the people who were close to us there."
She resides in Nashville, Tennessee with her husband, Benjamin Scott Folds, and two children, Louis and Gracie. The family also spends a few months each year in Frally's hometown of Adelaide, South Australia.

Benjamin Scott Folds (born September 12, 1966 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina) is an American singer-songwriter. Mainly known for his prowess as a pianist, although this is not his first instrument, which is drums. He is also adept at guitar and bass. Folds' compositional and playing technique remain wholly unique, combining elements of the typical 'singer/songwriter' genre, jazz, and power rock.
